The spree left some 265 windows shattered at elementary, middle and high schools, as well as the district’s pool and several vehicles.

School staff discovered the first wave of damage Monday morning. Auburn High School principal Richard Zimmerman says more than 50 windows were destroyed at his school.
Tue, 16 Oct 2012 22:59:01 +0000 Gabriel Spitzer 6740 at http://kplu.org Vandals shatter hundreds of windows at eight Auburn schools Garbage from massive party closes popular Wash. recreation area http://kplu.org/post/garbage-massive-party-closes-popular-wash-recreation-area
PULLMAN, Wash. – A popular recreation area along the Snake River near Pullman will not be open for Labor Day because it was trashed last weekend by hard-partying visitors.

Tue, 28 Aug 2012 19:14:07 +0000 The Associated Press 6113 at http://kplu.org Garbage from massive party closes popular Wash. recreation area Vandals attack Olympia police station, again http://kplu.org/post/vandals-attack-olympia-police-station-again
Nine windows were broken at Olympia’s west-side police station early Wednesday morning, said police spokeswoman Laura Wohl.

Based on the patterns of the broken glass Wohl reasoned that a hammer or a similar tool was used to break the windows.

Currently no suspects, motives or leads have been identified, but the police suspect anarchists are behind the vandalism.

Fri, 01 Jun 2012 18:39:14 +0000 Evan Hoover 5166 at http://kplu.org Vandals attack Olympia police station, again Joy riders damage Tacoma parks http://kplu.org/post/joy-riders-damage-tacoma-parks
Vandals have damaged the Jane Clark Park sports field in Tacoma. It appears a 4x4 vehicle left deep ruts running from one end of the field to the other.

The park had recently been upgraded as part of the 2005 Park Improvement bond measure.
