Mass: Welcome to a weekend that will get better and better!

"We have an extraordinary weekend ahead," says KPLU's weather expert Cliff Mass. "And In fact, it's probably not going to rain until at least next weekend as well."

Friday will warm up to lower 70s with “no precipitation anywhere,” says Mass, a professor of atmospheric science at the University of Washington. “And it just cranks up over the weekend."

Saturday will bring temperatures in the mid-70s, and some places may even reach 80.

“And Sunday, it warms up even more. Here in the west, a lot of places will see 80, even the lower 80s. And this extends all the way to the coast," he says.

Temperatures will peak on Sunday, says Mass, and Monday will bring a slight drop in temperatures.

“Tuesday, there should be a dramatic drop in temperature, probably going down to 70, maybe upper 60s. And at least low clouds in the morning.”

That’s the good word from Santa Mass. Get out and enjoy while you can!
