Update: The 'Trees' design wins Space Needle contest
By Jake Ellison
The contest for designing the top of the Seattle Space Needle went from six choices to one - trees.
As part of the 50th anniversary of the 1962 World's Fair, this summer the owners of the Space Needle first painted the top “galaxy gold” and then added the hashtag “#topthis” to announce the contest.
Now it’s chosen the winner.
