Amanda Knox won her life back, but not her story

With Amanda Knox back home in Seattle after four years in an Italian prison, the question is “when will she sell her story and how?”

But Knox, despite the fact that her conviction in the sexual assault and fatal stabbing of her British roommate Meredith Kercher was overturned, could find the media and movie markets crowded with others hawking her story, both in non-fiction and fictional form.

And, they can do so almost with impunity, according to one expert.

SEATTLE — Amanda Knox has thanked all those who believed and defended her during her trial in Italy over the sexual assault and fatal stabbing of her British roommate.

"Thank you for being there with me," she said through tears Tuesday, shortly after the plane carrying her to freedom landed in her hometown of Seattle.

Amanda Knox has won her freedom after appealing her murder conviction, for which the American had been serving a 26-year prison sentence. In 2009, Knox, who came to Perugia, Italy, as an exchange student, was found guilty in the November 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher.
