Occupy Seattle targets Chase CEO speech - 5 arrested

Police say they've arrested five Occupy Seattle demonstrators who lay down inside a Chase Bank branch and refused to move.

KOMO TV reports that five protesters with the Occupy Seattle movement were arrested Wednesday afternoon for trespassing after refusing to leave a Chase Bank branch on Capitol Hill.

Occupy Seattle wants to disrupt visit of JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon

Occupy Seattle protestors have set their sights on a new target: The highest paid banker on Wall Street who will be visiting Seattle on Wednesday.

Banker Jamie Dimon will be the keynote speaker at the University of Washington’s “Business Leadership Celebration” and Occupy Seattle protesters are marshaling their forces to welcome him loudly.

Occupy Eugene protestors move to University of Oregon

Occupy Eugene protestors moved from Alton Baker Park to the University of Oregon Thursday. But after hours of negotiations with U of O officials, they're spending the weekend on a grassy strip on the edge of campus.

Occupy Eugene marched to the U of O Thursday and held a rally in the memorial quad.

U of O spokesman Phil Weiler says while the rally was fine, the University did not want protestors to camp in the quad, near classrooms and the library. Representatives of the University and Occupy Eugene negotiated into the evening to come up with a solution.

Occupy Seattle sends press release; new phone app aids those arrested

Occupy Seattle members have sent out a press release declaring their intention to protest an upcoming speech by Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, at a University of Washington event in downtown Seattle next Wednesday.

And if any member is about to get arrested, a new Android-based app will help them notify a lawyer, family and friends with one touch.

Cold chills Occupy Spokane; Seattle votes to head to college

Spokane's version of the Occupy Wall Street protest has dwindled to only a handful of demonstrators, just a few weeks after a march through downtown drew some 300 people.

Meanwhile, in Seattle, Occupy protesters at Westlake Park voted yesterday to move from the park to Seattle Central Community College.

Occupy Seattle, get free pizza; protests cost city $105,000 so far

As the Occupy Wall Street Movement snowballs, small business owners, who employ just over half of all private sector employees in the nation, say they’re a part of the 99%, too.

It’s 5 o’clock in Seattle’s Westlake Park – the beating heart of the local Occupy Wall Street movement—and Jennifer Fox and some fellow teenage occupiers are smoking hand rolled cigarettes. They’re waiting for the free pizza.
